You look for continuities and distractions in life
“Remembering time is circular”
You may find unequivocal contradictions
in conspicuous places
Beauty and grace and foolishness
in niches unexpected.
Do you have to write a dissertation
to prove a point?
A monumental work for remote
and strange observations?
You can read your notebooks and
And find your way.
Examining your past may not be
your common practice
You maybe afraid to see
the missed opportunities
Mastery is built on trials and failures
And taking the step to start

note: Last Monday, November 4, I drove up-valley to capture the Fall colors
but the colors were gone. Last year I missed the opportunity all together.
2 years ago Mrs. Abstract and I went up-valley on November 17 with our cameras.
The right time is not the same every year.
Books I’m reading:
David and Goliath by Malcolm Gladwell
Chickens in the Road, An Adventure in Ordinary Splendor
by Suzanne McMinn
