Walking today, one Sunday morning
in the sacredness of ordinary things
the sky like cinnamon rolls, a divine touch
on the street, a flower decorated car,
a steel bent to shape like infinity scarf
an art of human creation.

Books I’m reading:
Still Writing by Dani Shapiro
The Burning Girl by Claire Messud
The Brothers K by David James Duncan
With a glimpse and a walk, a pond and the sea calm my soul.
note: Finished reading the Forest Dark by Nicole Krauss. Trying to finish Braving It by James Campbell, a father and daughter story.
note:Today I walked early in the morning while the clouds veiled the sun. 70’s by 9.
I finished reading the Vegetarian by Han Kang.
Surprises at every turn. Subtle psychological study.
Also finished Moon Tiger, an old novel by Penelope Lively. I often mistake her for Penelope Fitzgerald.
note: earthquake-stricken church spire ready for repairs.
